The construction and property industry in Scotland contributes a significant amount to our economy – but 10 years after the crash we have once again faced turbulent times. Some businesses are performing extremely well and maximising opportunities, yet we have also seen the demise of both large and small companies across the industry. With an increasing population, a market which may lose skills and labour due to Brexit, a lack of quality office space, and an increasing need for homes, Scotland now more than ever, needs its property and construction industry to open its door with solutions.
As we all know, clarity around the UK’s economic position is hard to come by at present – but we all also know that the country still needs a thriving construction industry. So in turbulent economic times, what can be done to unlock development and how can we continue to support an industry which contributes resources, skills, finance and infrastructure to Scotland’s economy?
Mackenzie England invite you to join us at 200 SVS for this panel debate to hear from a range of experts as they discuss their experiences and challenges and outline their views on the key to successful development of Scotland’s economy.
